Barbara Carlson
Executive Director

Barbara Carlson is a retired school counselor. As a teacher, counselor and coach, she has worked with children of all ages and their families for 35+ years. Barbara holds masters degrees in counseling and theology. She is active in the Methodist Church, where she has been a lay speaker, a member of the caring team and a leader in the mission to end homelessness in Burlington County.
Barbara has been a volunteer with Family Promise since 2010 and became a Board Trustee in 2020. She is passionate about FPBC's mission and is excited to take on a new challenge within this organization.
Brianna Walls
Administrative Assistant
Brianna holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Bowie State University. She has worked in helping industries, almost 10 years, as a part of their communications and social media teams. And has a passion for working in service of her community, in particularly her hometown Burlington County, NJ.​
Linda Hird
Case Manager
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Drew University and two Master’s degrees—Education from Rowan University and Counseling from Wilmington University— Linda brings decades of experience supporting individuals and families. After beginning her career as a counselor at Archway Programs’ partial care program for people with chronic mental illness, she went on to spend 28 years in public education, including 10 years as a teacher and the past 18 as a school counselor. She has also worked with organizations including Bancroft and Easter Seals Society.
Beyond her professional experience, Linda has contributed through volunteer work as an ESL tutor, as a counselor with Women Against Rape, and with animal shelters and rescue organizations. Passionate about helping others and making a positive impact, she believes every person deserves dignity and respect, and she is excited to support the community served by Family Promise of Burlington County.
